brand history

Bell began as a small parts shop in a suburb of Los Angeles. As it grew under the leadership of Roy Richter, Bell became a leader in motor racing, motorcycling and cycling safety equipment. His commitment to creating great products through a close connection to the sport, coupled with his trust and care for the people who worked for him, grew Bell from a small company to the world's leading safety helmet company....

brand-story
Brand philosophy

Roy Richter's product development philosophy was based on working with the best drivers to develop products specially designed and tested in the most demanding racing environments, including Bonneville Salt Flats and Indianapolis Motors Speedway.

finish-first
It takes a lot to finish first

As a racer, automobile manufacturer and inventor, Richter understood that winning requires an amazing combination of cutting-edge technology, flawless teamwork, proven skill, dedication and unwavering courage. It also requires a great deal of caution. As a world-class company, Bell has never stopped seeking serious head protection through innovation and a focus on the future. Bell was the first company to achieve Snell certification, introduce an energy-absorbing liner system, manufacture a full-face helmet, a fire-retardant helmet, an aerodynamic helmet, an anti-fog visor and homologate an FIA 8860 "super helmet". That same forward-thinking vision defines everything we do and is exhibited in every high-performance racing helmet we build. By offering the ultimate in protection, innovation, technology and reliability, it's no wonder more champions have proudly worn Bell helmets than any other brand.

VISION
Imagen-9
Time-tested, trusted champion

For over 65 years, our commitment to innovative design and progressive approach to safety has defined Bell Racing. That same attention to detail continues today across our entire product line, making every Bell helmet unique and worthy of being worn by the world's best drivers.

From our first helmet made in a garage behind Bell Auto Parts in 1954 under the leadership of Roy Richter, to today's line, we are constantly breaking new ground in safety and technological innovation. We know that, as fast as the last flash of that checkered flag, the future soon becomes the past, so we don't look back, we keep moving forward, looking for the next finish line, the next victory in a long history of winning.

That legacy continues today with the aim of creating and producing state-of-the-art motor racing helmets that enhance driver performance and maximise protection.
